South County Fire is holding its Third Annual Emergency Preparedness Expo in the parking lot across from the Lynnwood Light Rail Station (between 200th St. SW, 44th Ave W, and 196th St SW. Stop by anytime between 11:00am and 2:00pm.
Edmonds Pride + CAB Hickman Park Clean-Up
This will be an all-ages community park clean-up and invasive plant removal project. Volunteers will sign up ahead of time for their preferred project. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own gloves and tools, but Edmonds Pride will provide spares to anyone who needs them.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Teaches participants about disaster preparedness for hazards that may occur where they live. You will learn skills needed to help you, your family, and your neighbors until additional help arrives. for more information and to register, click HERE.
The Great Washington Shakeout
The Shakeout Drill is scheduled for 10:16am on October 16. Wherever you are at that moment - at home, at work, at school, anywhere - you should Drop, Cover, and Hold On as if there were a major earthquake occuring at that very moment, and stay in this position for at least 60 seconds.
