When most people concerned about the environment think about global warming, they first think about greenhouse gas emissions and how to reduce our impact on climate change. That remains crucial, but what about reducing climate change’s impact on us?
To protect our residents, businesses, property and infrastructure, Edmonds as a coastal community must thoughtfully and aggressively plan how we will adapt to sea level rise and increased exposure to flooding. Our waterfront and downtown are the income-generating engines of Edmonds, which impact all our residents and city services.
